Sub-collection: Small Flags

A cavalry company from Philadelphia that escorted General George Washington to his headquarters in Cambridge, Mass. in 1776. It bores 13 silver stripes in the canton which covered an English coat of arms or union jack. It was converted by the unit in 1776 two years after they were formed in 1774 in Philadelphia.
