WW II // Protective Goggles / Possibly Military

With protective case.

Protective Goggles similar to these were used by German Army and Japanese armored and mechanized units to protect the eyes. There are no marking on these goggles although the case accompanying them suggests European origins, no definitive identification is possible without further research.

Since these were in a lot of odds and ends from the U.S. Army Ranger Museum; it is highly likely that this was a G.I. bring back, from either the European or Pacific Theatres, that has become separated from its documentation.
