International Flag Set // 1936 Olympics / Restaurant display
The 1936 Summer Olympics, officially known as the Games of the XI Olympiad, an international multi-sport event which was held in 1936 in Berlin, Germany.
The flags of 49 countries were displayed at the 1936 Olympics, and 20 of those nations, principally, but not exclusively European. This was a display from a restaurant advertising a Donnerstag or Thursday special of Schlachtschussel (Butchers plate) a pork loin platter combination of Blutwurst and Leberwurst, (blood sausage and liver sausage) knackwurst, bratwurst with caraway seed sauce served hot on sauerkraut and mashed potatoes. The flags in the display are:

These flags were part of a GI bringback from an American GI stationed in Occupied Germany after WWII, who later became a collector of WWII militaria.
