Reproduction of official US Flag from 1794/1818. Flew for one-and-one-half years from 1994 to 1996 at the Flag House. Authorized by act of Congress to fly as an official US flag 24 hours a day. Goes with similar flag which flew from 1997/98. Provenance: Gift from Star Spangled Banner Flag House when Ben Zaricor joined the board of trustees.
Fifteen alternating red and white nylon stripes, machine stitched, the top stripe red; bottom stripe red. Nylon union/canton 74.25 inches w. x 64.5 inches h. with 15 stars, 8.75 inches across, sewn on obverse and reverse sides, in five staggered horizontal rows of three stars each. The flag is attached with loops.
