ZFC2521 Apollo 14 - EVA Moon Flag displayed on Lunar surface and returned to Earth 1971. This is believed to be one of the only two flags currently on Earth that had the honor of being taken out of the LM by Alan Shepard and on to the surface of the moon (this of course excludes those left behind from Apollo missions 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17). ZFC2596 Faith 7 (Mercury-Atlas 9) Flown American Flag is signed by Mission Pilot Gordon Cooper. Faith 7 (Mercury-Atlas 9) was the last U.S. Mercury spaceflight manned space mission, launched on May 15, 1963 from Launch Complex 14 at Cape Canaveral, Florida. The capsule was named Faith 7 and it completed 22 Earth orbits piloted by astronaut Cooper. Read more ZFC2516 Gemini 9 - U.S. 50 Star, Earth Orbit Flown Flag, 1966. This U.S. Flag was carried on the Gemini IX-A mission by astronauts Thomas Stafford and Eugene Cernan and later presented to Sgt. Joe Garino USAF, the Physical Condition Supervisor for NASA as thanks for his innovations and close training. Read more
ZFC2517 Apollo 7 - U.S. 50 Star, Earth Orbit Flown Flag, October 11-22, 1968. This unique flag was carried aboard the first manned Apollo space flight. The flag is affixed to a 13.5" x 10.5" mat with the Apollo 7 patch. Matted with two color photos (launch, crew) and a 7" x 2" card printed “This Flag Flew on Apollo 7.” Read more ZFC2597 U.S flag from Mission Control from Apollo 10 recovery. This Apollo 10 Mission Control Center American flag was flown during the mission and is signed by Mission Lunar Module Pilot Gene Cernan; from whose personal collection the flag originates. Read more
ZFC2518 Apollo 13 - U.S. 50 Star Flag, Apollo 13 / April 11-17 1970. The U.S. flag that accompanied the infamous Apollo 13 manned mission into space, the only mission in NASA’s Apollo program that was deemed a “Successful Failure.” Apollo 13, the “Houston, we’ve had a problem here” flight was flown by Mission Commander, John Young; Command Module Pilot John L. “Jack” Swigert and Lunar Module Pilot Charles Duke in 1970.
