During the American Revolution Bicentennial the US Navy permitted all ships to display a special commemorative jack.
Based on the so-called First Navy Jack, these nylon "Rattlesnake" jacks were used only during 1976.
This if from an unidentified ship of the US Navy.
They were revived for the War on Terrorism by President Bush.
This is a nylon jack made by the Valley Forge Flag Co.
