Germany, 3rd Reich, Military Hazard Safety marker flag kit,
containing 15 "L" shaped ground stakes, with small triangular yellow flags bearing a black death's head.

These small yellow flags are used to mark safe pathways through or near military hazards like mine, gas or unexploded ordnance.

Identified as German WWII, but both condition and the accompanying carrying case appear modern.
