Lithograph "Colton's National & Commercial Flags of All Nations".
This color-lithographed chart notably includes Marryat's code of Commercial signals, British Admiralty code of commercial signals and Roger's code of commercial signals. Apart from this, it is very similar to Johnson's. The chart clearly depicts the striped US Commodores Broad Pennant that has been discontinued rather than the version that features a single white star that was later introduced in 1876. This lithograph was published by G. W & C. B. Colton & Co., New York, 1886.

Colton was an American map and chart-publishing firm that was established in the mid-19th century and it famously started publishing maps back in the 1830s. This is a double-page engraved plate that has been carefully hand colored and it shows the National & Commercial Flags of All Nations that came after the title page of Colton's General Atlas.

NB: The date has been removed as it has been cut at the bottom but based on the use of the US commodores and admirals flags that are striped; it is likely that it is not the 1874 edition, which is known to feature a different design.
