Exhibition Copy | Special Memorial Day Display Flags on Easels in the Moraga Room and Moraga annex Presidio of San Francisco's Officers Club Memorial Day 2003 U.S. Vice Presidential Flag Date: About 1948 - 1952 Comment: On November 16, 1948, a new design of a flag for the Vice President of the United States was introduced. It consisted of a white field bearing a modified version of the coat of arms of the United States. This pattern continued in use until October 9, 1975, when it was retired. Which Vice President actually used this flag has not been recorded. Provenance: Acquired by the Zaricor Flag Collection (ZFC1070) in 1997 from the collection of Calvin Bullock of New York City.
