U.S. flag, Maryland Belgian relief, WWI

This Maryland flag was presented to W. Melbourne Hart (father of Alfred I. Hart) for services rendered in Belgian relief work during World War I. It came from a ship launche from the Port of Baltimore to carry food stuffs to Europe in a program under Herbert Hoover's direction.
