13 Star Confederate States of America Proposed Flag - made while Confederate government still forming. While the recently seceded states met in Montgomery to form a new government and select a new national, patriots and entrepreneurs alike made provisional flags representing the seceded states.

7 Star Confederate 1st National Camp Flag, March - April 1861, former Star Spangled Banner Flag House Collection. This flag bearing the first Confederate National pattern was authenticated by the Smithsonian Institution and examined by Howard Madaus who identified it, most likely, as a camp flag.

13 Star, Confederate States of America - Lt. Artillery - reverses traditional U.S red over white, with staff, 1863, extremely rare 1 of 2. Captured at Fort Hindman, A very rare swallowtail Confederate guidon with its original blue lanyard. It was originally discovered furled around its staff with its red painted tin "halberd head" finial.

U.K. Confederate Blockade Runner, "ruse de guerre" ensign, 1861 - 1865. While the early history of this flag is unknown, it was acquired from the personal collection of noted collector William H. Guthman, who founded Guthman Americana in Westport, Connecticut where he was a prominent antique dealer and a respected scholar and author.

Jack of the CSS Patrick Henry, CS Navy School Ship, Captain William Harwar Parker. This large wool flag is the 1863 - 1865 jack of the Confederate States Navy (C.S.N.), it is inscribed "Capt. Parker." A review of the roll of the commissioned officers of the C.S.N. reveals only three officers with the surname Parker.

Second National Ensign of the CSS Alabama, June 1864. This flag is the second and final ensign from the CSS Alabama's last battle, hoisted after the spinnaker gaff on which she wore her ensign was shot away. This smaller ensign, likely a boat flag, was eventually struck in a battle against the USS Kearsarge off the coast of France in 1864.
