54. Cold War - Vietnam
The Vietnam War (1955 â?? 1975) was the most protracted military conflict of the Cold War. Presented in this grouping is one of the earliest 50 star U.S. flags in the ZFC. Also presented is a battalion color used â??in countryâ? by the 15th Combat Engineers along with two â??hoochâ? flags, a theatre made composite guidon and a naval jack and a commemorative veterans flag.
Representing South Vietnam are three period, â??in-country madeâ? national flags and a very rare flag of the Quoc Dan Dang Party (1954-1975). The communists of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Viet Cong are represented by five â??in-countryâ? made flags
